Founded in 1945 by Marcel Niel in France, this brand started as a modest manufacturer of radio components and kits, but soon scaled the heights of success in the 1960s with the launch of the legendary "Saint Germain". Niel's passion and dedication to perfection has been reflected in his products, such as the Turny, Saint James and Paris-Dakar, known for their thoughtful design. However, the tragic death of Marcel Niel in 1979 cast a shadow over the company, which struggled to stay afloat. In 1982, Optalix had to file for bankruptcy, ending an era of innovation and creativity. This story is an emotional reminder of a brand that made the hearts of radio lovers beat, with its legacy of passion and extraordinary design.
